Washington region leads in women executives

More than twenty years ago and early in her career at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Susan Sarfati said it was common to walk into an elevator or a meeting and be the only woman around. “Things have changed significantly since I got into the association profession, there are great opportunities for women at the top levels now,” said Sarfati, who is the president and CEO of the Center for Association Leadership and executive vice president of the American Society of Association Executives.
